Tenets of Faith
The church accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice; and for the purpose of maintaining general unity adopts the following statement of Fundamental truths, as underscored by our five (5) foundational church pillars of The Word of God – John 1:1; The Blood of Jesus – Ephesians 1:7; Love – John 13:35; Discipleship – Matthew 28:18-20; and Prayer and Fasting – Thessalonians 5:16-18 and Matthew 17:14-2:
ARTICLE I
We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible written Word of God;
ARTICLE II
We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit;
ARTICLE III
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.
ARTICLE IV
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith and the precious Blood of Jesus Christ;
ARTICLE V
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation;
ARTICLE VI
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer;
ARTICLE VII
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world, Amen; and
ARTICLE VIII
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it; and
ARTICLE IX
We believe that marriage is sacred and should not be entered into lightly without proper preparation. Marriage was originally instituted by God as a properly recognized covenant relationship between one man and one woman for life. The church affirms the biblical family as a father and mother in wedlock who may procreate children. The church further asserts that the home, including the extended family, is to be guided by love, discipline, and other nurturing aspects as taught in God’s Word.
